All Shore Dog collars are constructed by hand in Avondale, Georgia. Adjustable dog collars constructed with durable nylon webbing, welded metal D-rings, and Nexus heavy duty side release buckles. Webbing sewn inside double box stitched fabric sleeve. Fabric sleeve protects dogs from adverse reactions common with regular nylon collars.
'Big & Beefy' Sizes are available for very large and/or strong dogs. (Great danes, Mastiffs, large Hound breeds, Mountain Dogs, etc.) Constructed with high tensile strength 1 1/2" wide nylon webbing and nylon thread.
Metal Buckles - Collars are also available with a Nickel Plated Heavy Duty Metal Snap Buckle. Only available for 1" wide collars. See the shopping cart below.

Martingale Greyhound Collars

These "Martingale" style collars are great for dogs whose necks are as wide as their skulls. Dogs like Greyhounds and Whippets may easily slip out of traditional collars. Greyhound collars quickly slip over the dog's head, yet it is escape proof. The "loop" enables the whole collar to decrease in size when your dog pulls. This evenly distributes pressure, easing strain on your dog's neck and coat. The "loop" forms a "handle", which is perfect for restraining your dog at the last minute or quick corrections during a training program. "Martingale" style collars are adjustable, but do not have release buckles. The collar is adjusted then slipped over the dog's head. Thus, the reason they are effective for dogs like Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, and Sighthounds.

Shore Dog Walker collars combine the best features of the traditional "Buckle" collar and the "Martingale" style collar. The limited choke action of the Shore Dog Walker collar may be used for training, or aggressive dogs that require a little more control, or dogs that pull. The "Walker" may be used as alternative for a harness during walks. This collar may be worn at all times.

| Martingale or Greyhound collars have no buckle because they are only sized once, for each use you simply slide the collar over the dog's head. This is why they are good for Greyhounds. However, this concept does not apply for most dogs. Dogs like Labs, Boxers, Shelties, etc. have a larger skull diameter than their necks. Using a Martingale collar would require you to size the collar large, slide it over the dog's head, then resize to fit the dog's neck. This process would be reversed to remove the collar. |
| Shore Dog Walker collars combine the best features of the "Martingale" and the traditional "Buckle" collar. The "Walker" has all the "Martingale" features and benefits plus a sturdy side release buckle. With the Shore Dog Walker you only size the collar once, then use the side release buckle to remove and place the collar on your dog. Allow two fingers slack between the dog's neck and collar to allow proper action on the limited choke feature.
